CHIP HABIT.....by Monroe Bishop

Day 1: Hi, My name is Monroe and I am a chip-a-holic.
Chips are my life.I am addicted to potato chips.
HELP...me beat the craving.
Lays Spicy chips, Hot fries, Hot cheetohs, Lays Limo'n, Lime Tortillas n dip....#havingamouthwateringmoment
Today I have made a commitment to kick the chip habit.
Popcorn will be my back up. Low salt, low calorie and the bomb with some hotsauce
I am struggling with the thought of having no chips.
Why chips? Some people indulge in ice cream, or chocolate....
My devil is chips. Go figure...

Any way, its Friday a heavy chip day only because I love my drink also...

Excerpt..........

Prologue
It was the month of April, the day before Easter Sunday. This was the first trip Obi and I had taken a trip together since we were introduced by a mutual friend a few years ago.  It was a long grueling 3 ½ hour road trip that seemed more like 30 hours. I just stared at the open road blankly at nothing in particular only wishing the weekend did not hold so many expectations. I sat in a masked silence careful not to initiate any unwanted conversation between us.  Obi drove while whistling tunes probably thinking this was a new beginning for us but I knew better.

My attempts to ignore him went unnoticed, he touched my knee and said “Honey listen we are only 50 miles out from Tallahassee lets talk about this.”

“Talk about what? I said.

“Me. You, Us, This” Obi sank back in his seat seemingly defeated.

I continued gazing at the passing pastures, barely noticing the change of scenery. “Whatever” I said and closed my eyes pretending to sleep.I guess I must have actually dozed off because I was jolted awake when I felt his hot breath on my neck, he whispered “Wake up sweetheart, we are here.”

I am still here............

I have been intensly writing these past few days. Cleansing myself daily in order to stay pure. Also working on a life long goal.......
